Let’s hear the patient voice
Are you a patient or carer who would like to be involved in how clinical trials are designed?
We’d love to hear from you.
Here at the AKTN we want to make sure that trials are designed in a way that is meaningful to patients and carers, and focuses on outcomes that are important to them. Consumer Advisory Boards are being set up to help ensure the AKTN trial documents that are provided to patients are clear and useful, including when the trial results are shared with the kidney care community. Consumer engagement in research is expected by the National Health and Medical Research Council.
Trial Consumer Advisory Board
A Consumer Advisory Board is being established for the new GOAL trial
The GOAL trial is studying how to help frail older patients with chronic kidney disease achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
