Research and PhD Scholarship Opportunities
The Australasian Kidney Trials Network (AKTN) conducts high quality, patient-focused investigator-initiated clinical trials in Australia and New Zealand and has several well established collaborations internationally. Based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, the Network operates within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland. An important function of the AKTN is to educate renal physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals in trial design and conduct with the overall aim of increasing nephrology research output in the region. All trial executive committee members are leading experts in their respective fields and have an interest in fostering collaborative ties through mentorship and knowledge sharing. Several research opportunities encompassing various phases of clinical trial development and data collection are available through the AKTN.
